Similar shade umbrellas are likely to be constructed at significant intersections around the city, particularly those with extended pauses at traffic lights.
 
According to the area's traffic police, the mesh was installed by ghmc workers on saturday to give pedestrians shade throughout the summer. Along with assisting people waiting at the signal, being one of the city's retail areas, the lane attracts a large number of walkers.
 
Hyderabad has had one of the warmest summers on record, discouraging residents from taking to the streets, particularly in the afternoon. Similar shade canopies are expected to be installed across the major junctions in the city, particularly those with long pauses at traffic signals.
 
Furthermore, numerous jump signals or stopped cars were seen to be located meters away from the stop line in the shade, avoiding direct sunlight. These shade netting will keep motorists comfortable at traffic signals and help them follow traffic laws. However, with the city's temperatures dropping due to recent heavy rains, the local administration's compassionate gesture may have been postponed.
