Salaar by prashanth neel cast prabhas in a whole different light. While the picture had a nice run, it failed to become the blockbuster that many had predicted. Its ratings and TRPs on Netflix and tv were underwhelming, prompting rumors about a sequel. Salaar 2 has been stalled indefinitely owing to creative disputes between prashanth neel and Prabhas.
However, the Salaar crew posted a photo on X yesterday of Neel and prabhas smiling together with the comment, "They can't stop laughing!". This message appears to parody the rumors about the sequel's cancellation. Following kalki 2898 AD, prabhas plans to work on Spirit with sandeep Reddy Vanga, raja Saab with Maruthi, and a project with Hanu Raghavpudi. Meanwhile, prashanth neel will be busy on Dragon, starring NTR. If Salaar 2 happens, it will most certainly take several years before the shooting begins.

Prabhas' action film 'Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire' was released on december 22, 2023, and it garnered a positive reception from the public. The film was a commercial success, grossing Rs 750 crore. The film's ensemble cast included prabhas, prithviraj Sukumaran, and shruti Haasan. Fans are now anxiously awaiting the film's sequel, which will also provide fresh information to the viewers. However, speculations on social media suggest that Salaar 2 has been canceled owing to creative disputes.
