Pinnelli submitted a new bail plea in the high court on Monday, after the police filed three other charges against him four days after he was granted relief in the EVM shattering case.

In an emergency appeal, Pinnelli claimed that the police were attempting to incriminate him in one or more cases so that he would be in jail when the vote was counted on june 4. The bail petition is due to be heard later that day.

The most recent complaints filed against the YSRCP mla involve claims of assaulting telugu desam party agent M Seshagiri Rao and harassing a woman who opposed his EVM breaking at the Palwaigate polling station on May 13.

In the most recent development, the mangalagiri police recorded a zero FIR in response to a complaint submitted by tdp activist Nomula Manikyala Rao, who lives in the MLA's village, Kandlakunta, in veldurthi mandal of Palnadu district.

The tdp activist said that Pinnelli hired four people to assassinate him because he served as a voting agent in the hamlet. The police filed a case against the mla and presented it to the court.

The public prosecutor stated that Pinnelli had broken bail terms and hence his bail should be revoked since there is a risk he may participate in violence on the counting day. The mla filed a new motion for bail, which the court will consider later in the day.

The YSRCP claims that the tdp is attempting to remove the macherla legislator in order to disrupt peace and order.

The party objected strongly to the election Commission's lack of responsiveness in taking action against the violent criminals.

Former minister and senior politician Perni Venkatramaiah (Nani) questioned why the ec had not registered a case against Pinnelli till tdp leader lokesh posted a video on social media.

He added that Pinnelli was charged with attempted murder after a report was made by circle inspector Narayana Swamy about ten days after the polls closed.

He also criticised the EC-appointed officers for failing to maintain law and order, which resulted in their firing.

He said that the ec should have served a show-cause notice on bjp leader purandeswari for deceiving the commission with a fraudulent plea.
