The phone-tapping issue has dominated telangana political circles for the last three months. It was suspected that the old BRS administration, led by kcr, unlawfully wiretapped the phones of numerous politicians and businesses with the assistance of the police. Radha Kishan Rao, the former DCP of the Task Force, was one of the major suspects in this case. Meanwhile, Radha Kishan Rao's statement has leaked to the media, and it contains some severe claims against kcr and his BRS party that might land them in serious trouble.

According to Radha Kishan Rao, the phone-tapping operation was devised by Special Intelligence Branch (SIB) Chief prabhakar Rao. According to reports, the police agency gathered information about individuals who posed a threat to the BRS party on prabhakar Rao's directives. This information was sent on to SIB DSP Praneeth, who was continually monitoring these persons.

Radha Kishan Rao also stated who was being tracked. They were MLC Shambipur Raju (for his feud with Qutbullapur mla Vivekananda), Rajaiah (rival of ex-BRS leader and Ghanpur mla Kadiyam Srihari), Patnam Mahender reddy and his wife Suneetha (rivals of ex-Tandur mla Pilot Rohit), retired IPS officer RS praveen Kumar, NTV narendra Chowdary, and abn Andhrajyothy's MD Radha Krishna. Opposition leaders' phones, including Raghuveer reddy (son of Jana Reddy), saritha Tirupathaiah (Gadwal), Vamshi Krishna (Achampet), and Juvvadi Narsinga Rao (Korutla), were also tapped.

Radha Kishan Rao indicated that numerous businesspeople, industrialists, and real estate tycoons were being monitored. When they realised their phones were being tapped, they began communicating via internet programmes such as WhatsApp, Snapchat, and Signal. Even then, prabhakar Rao and his colleagues tracked internal communications using Internet Protocol Data Records (IDPR).

Radha Kishan Rao also named iNews journalist sravan kumar as a crucial figure in the scam. He said that sravan used to transmit information about opposition party leaders and financial backers to prabhakar reddy, who was then guided by former minister Harish Rao.

Rao further stated that sravan provided precise information for targeted money seizures from opposition party leaders, as well as assisting Praneeth Kumar's team in conducting internet trolling operations against anyone who criticised the BRS party. These are significant charges against kcr and his BRS party. As of yet, the police have yet to issue an official statement on Radha Kishan Rao's confession. It remains to be seen how these claims will effect BRS and its supremo.
