The scorching heat, along with the intermittent electricity supply, is proving to be a lethal mix for telangana residents, particularly those in Hyderabad. With an unstable power supply, many residents attacked social media on Saturday, challenging the State administration about the power outages and demanding an immediate resolution to the problem, which is not only causing them restless nights but also disturbing their work.
 
The Congress-led state administration had earlier stated that there would be no power outages in Telangana. However, numerous netizens have tagged BRS working president and former minister KT Rama Rao on social networking site X to highlight the frequent power disruptions. In response, Rama Rao emphasized that the present administration was led by the Congress.
 
He emphasized that it was the congress administration that pledged to usher in "Change" and rose to power. However, he promised to promote several tweets by netizens for the notice of deputy chief minister and Energy minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka. He uploaded more than 30 postings from netizens complaining about power outages spanning from two to five hours in various regions of Hyderabad.
 
Many netizens expressed concern about the congress government's capacity to handle the electricity infrastructure built during the previous BRS administration. They noted that before 2014, power outages and holidays were regular. However, the BRS administration, led by K Chandrashekhar Rao, changed the situation by assuring 24-hour quality electrical supply, which accelerated Hyderabad's development.

Meanwhile, a video of a group of people from GPR Colony in pragathi Nagar protesting near the bachupally substation went viral on friday night. They stated that regular power outages lasting several hours were being enforced on Nizampet, bachupally, and the neighbouring districts without prior notice. They demanded a quick restoration of electricity and left only when officials promised to address their concerns.
