Mythological and socio-fantasy movies are currently popular in indian cinema.  Regarding the telugu cinema industry, lord shiva has been the subject of numerous contemporary productions.  Lord shiva was a major plot point in movies like shivam Bhaje and Odela 2. Here is a preview of several forthcoming Lord Shiva-themed movies:

1. Kannappa, 

A biographical drama based on the story of Lord Shiva's devotee Bhakta Kannappa, stars manchu vishnu in the major role.  Prabhas Akshay Kumar, Madhoo, Mohanlal, Mohan Babu, and Preity Mukundan all play important parts in this movie.  June 27 is the scheduled date of its major release.
 
 2. akhanda 2:
 
Following Akhanda's huge success, Nandamuri balakrishna and boyapati srinu collaborated once more on akhanda 2, the film's sequel. balayya will play Aghora, a follower of lord shiva, again in this film.  We have been informed that this film will contain numerous mythical aspects pertaining to Lord Shiva.

3. Jatadhara
 
This mysterious mystery thriller, which stars sudheer babu in the lead role, was just released.  We've been informed that lord shiva will play a part in the film's plot.
 
In addition to this, we have heard that lord shiva would be a plot point in aravind Krishna's "A Masterpiece" and Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas's "Haindhava."
