Sai Pallavi got into a sticky situation at an interview for a telugu movie in january 2022.  She said, "People in pakistan think our army is a terrorist group," in reference to her status as a Naxal and her opposition to violence. But it's them for us.  Thus, the viewpoint shifts. Violence is beyond my comprehension.  Instead of associating the indian army with terrorists, she aimed to draw attention to the disparate national viewpoints and her own opposition to violence.

But in october 2024, a snippet of this interview reappeared, sparking social media controversy as she was accused of calling the indian army terrorists.  The pahalgam terror incident, which claimed the lives of 27 civilians, has now rekindled the controversy.  According to the reports, this strike is being carried out by Pakistan.

With messages calling for an apology and casting doubt on her patriotism, particularly in light of her impending role as Sita in the Ramayana, social media users started to criticize Sai Pallavi.  With some labeling her "anti-national" and others connecting her remarks to the attack, hashtags such as #BoycottSaiPallavi became popular.  Her supporters retaliated, claiming her remarks were misunderstood and posting the entire interview to elucidate her position.

Is she truly deserving of such hatred?  She didn't mean to offend the indian army or show sympathy for pakistan in her 2022 remark.  It was about the various perspectives on conflicts held by those on opposing sides.  Additionally, it seems strange that this fresh trolling is occurring at the same time as her popularity in Bollywood.  Her movie Amaran actually honors a real indian army hero.  It should be obvious where she stands just from that.  Criticism that is constructive is one thing.  But what is sai pallavi currently dealing with?  It seems less like a legitimate outcry and more like a targeted effort.
