Tim Burton and an Edward Scissorhands star will meet on wednesday in season two.  In addition to being an executive producer and director of the popular Netflix series, Burton helmed the well-known 1990 movie Edward Scisshorhands.  Four of the eight episodes in season 1 were directed by Burton, and he will be directing the same number of episodes in season 2.  The cast of wednesday season 2 has expanded to include Steve Buscemi, Lady Gaga, christopher Lloyd, Thandiwe Newton, and Billie Piper, in addition to Jenna Ortega and other important cast members returning to their roles.

Anthony Michael has now joined wednesday season 2 in an unspecified capacity, according to Variety.  Hall portrayed the conceited lover of Kim Boggs (Winona Ryder), Jim, in Edward Scissorhands, who turned out to be the movie's antagonist.  It is unclear when Hall will make his season 2 debut and whether it will be in one of the four episodes that Burton is directing because information regarding his wednesday character is being kept under wraps.

Burton has a history of collaborating with the same performers on several films, and Hall is the newest member of Wednesday's group, which is getting more and more famous.  It seems unlikely that Hall will play a major role because his casting was only recently revealed and his enigmatic character hasn't been mentioned in the season 2 marketing.  As the roster of characters at Nevermore Academy and the rest of the supernatural world of the show continues to grow, he will likely play a more supporting role.

Ryder, Hall's co-star from Edward Scissorhands, who portrayed Elsa Van Helsing in Burton's 2012 animated film Frankenweenie and played Lydia Deetz in Beetlejuice and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, is one of the actors Burton frequently reunites with.  Other regular Burton collaborators include Ortega, who starred in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice after wednesday season 1, johnny Depp, who has been in eight of Burton's films, and Michael Keaton, who has appeared in five of the director's productions.  Hall has now joined the ever-expanding roster of Burton's repeat actors with wednesday, his second Burton production.
