
Judge cum Assistant Session Judge First Kumar Pankaj of Special court of MP-MLA court of Munger released former mla of Mokama Anant Kumar Singh on saturday due to lack of evidence. The prosecution failed to prove the charge. In this case, a case was registered against Anant Kumar Singh and 80-100 supporters, but the charge sheet was submitted only against Anant Kumar Singh.
Decision through video conferencing
Due to security reasons, Anant Kumar Singh, convicted in Barh police station case number 389/2019 in Beur Jail patna and famous as Chhote Sarkar in Bihar, did not appear in court in person. The court pronounced the decision through video conferencing, while earlier in the statement in the format of the accused, Anant Singh had called the allegations leveled against him baseless, which was received in the court from Central Jail Patna.
What was the case against Anant Singh?
In the 2019 lok sabha elections, Anant Kumar Singh, along with his supporters, campaigned in favour of his wife Neelam Devi, the congress candidate, in the Dharhara zone with a convoy of 16 vehicles without seeking permission on 31 march 2019.
Zonal officer Abul Hussain was deputed as a magistrate in the flying squad team under Dharhara zone in Jamalpur assembly constituency of Munger lok sabha constituency. Case number 84/2019 was registered in Dharhara police station on whose statement, in this case Anant Singh has now been acquitted.
At present, Anant Singh is lodged in Beur jail in patna in a case of firing. He is guilty in the case of firing with Sonu-Monu gang in Naurang Jalalpur village of Mokama. He himself surrendered in this case. In this incident, a total of 70 rounds of bullets were fired. The entire Nauranga Jalalpur village was converted into a police cantonment. The matter is related to property dispute.
