There is a lot of enthusiasm among the devotees about the Char Dham yatra of Uttarakhand. A large number of people are registering for the Yatra. By friday evening, this figure crossed 23.50 lakh. According to the latest data released by the Tourism Department, so far a total of 23,50,845 passengers have registered for the Char Dham and Hemkund Sahib Yatra.

In the last few years, the number of devotees coming to uttarakhand for the Char Dham yatra is increasing rapidly. This time too a new record is expected to be made. This time also the highest number of registrations have been done for kedarnath Dham, where 7,92,312 devotees have registered their presence for darshan. Apart from this, 7,11,434 pilgrims have registered for Badrinath, 4,19,180 for Gangotri, 3,84,052 for Yamunotri and 43,867 for Hemkund Sahib.

A large number of devotees have registered

The number of registrations for the Chardham yatra is increasing not only online but also offline. On friday itself, a total of 9895 pilgrims registered offline at four registration centers in a single day. Of these, 4987 registrations were recorded in Haridwar, 4776 in Rishikesh, 96 in Herbertpur and 36 in Nayagaon. So far, a total of 57,284 devotees have registered to join the yatra through offline medium.

The doors of kedarnath Dham have opened from May 2. The state government has provided the facility of registration through both online and offline mediums, so that more and more devotees can join this holy journey. Officials say that all preparations have been completed for the convenience of the passengers and crowd management. The Char Dham yatra attracts crores of devotees every year and this time the huge number of registrations in the first phase itself makes it clear that this journey of faith is going to be historic this year too.
