A star typically stays away from other commitments when working on a rajamouli movie. Although rajamouli doesn't enforce it, players choose to avoid other scripts and distractions because these movies need their whole attention and have demanding schedules. ram charan performing acharya at rrr was an uncommon exception.
 
Mahesh Babu is now working on SSMB29 under Rajamouli's supervision.  Due to the intense heat, he recently took a month-long summer sabbatical from work.  Rumors started to circulate that Mahesh is already thinking about SSMB30 and may collaborate with filmmaker Buchi Babu sana around this time.

These rumors, however, are untrue.  According to sources, Buchi Babu is just working on Peddi alongside Ramcharan at the moment, despite having some scenarios in mind.  Since Peddi is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Buchi Babu, he is being extremely cautious at every turn.  At the moment, he lacks the bandwidth to consider other screenplays or meet other heroes. 

However, mahesh babu also has a full schedule.  When SSMB29 will conclude and whether it will have sequels or be divided into parts are still unknown. It will take at least two years to finish, whichever way.  Mahesh is unlikely to commit to any more projects during this time.
 
Therefore, it seems utterly unfounded that Mahesh and Buchi Babu met and were planning a new movie.  For the time being, fans would be better off considering this to be a rumor. Both are currently too busy with their current obligations, but it would be great if something official were to be announced later.
