India's retaliation against pakistan for launching drone attacks on civilians and military posts in Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, and rajasthan resulted in damage to both Pasrur and Sialkot airbases.
According to India's Ministry of Defence, the indian air Force (IAF) used air-launched precision missiles to hit 11 military locations deep within pakistan in a pre-dawn operation on May 10. Crucial airbases in Rafiqui, Murid, Nur Khan, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur, Chunian, Pasrur, and Sialkot were among the targets.
Along with army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, Deputy prime minister Ishaq Dar, Defense minister Khawaja Asif, and others, Sharif toured the Pasrur and Sialkot airbases in a mostly imitative move.
After india conducted Operation Sindoor on the intervening night of May 6 and 7 to exact revenge for the deaths of 26 persons in the pahalgam terror incident, tensions between the two nations increased. Over 100 terrorists were killed as indian forces hit nine terror locations in pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
