Adivi Sesh, known for his sharp script choices and intense performances, has been on a brief hiatus from full-length feature releases, building anticipation among his fans. Currently, he is working on two highly awaited projects — goodachari 2 (G2), a sequel to his breakout spy thriller, and Dacoit, a gritty action drama. 

While many expected G2 to hit the screens first given its franchise value, the makers have surprised fans by announcing that Dacoit will release ahead of it. Helmed by popular cinematographer-turned-director Shaniel Deo, who previously collaborated with Sesh on kshanam and goodachari, Dacoit promises a compelling mix of stylized action and strong storytelling.

According to insider reports from trade circles, Dacoit is scheduled for a grand theatrical release in december 2025, though an official confirmation from the makers is expected this Monday. The film has already generated considerable buzz due to its casting changes and high-profile team. Initially, the female lead was to be played by shruti Haasan, and a teaser featuring her was also unveiled. However, in a surprising turn, she was replaced by the rising star Mrunal Thakur, whose recent streak of hits in telugu cinema has made her one of the most sought-after actresses in the industry. Her inclusion has further raised expectations for the film.
