Naya Bharat, Op Sindoor Celebrated on India’s 79th Independence Day

India commemorates its 79th Independence Day today, august 15, 2025, marking the historic moment when the nation emerged from nearly 200 years of british rule in 1947. The celebrations kick off at Delhi's iconic red Fort, where prime minister Narendra Modi will arrive at 7:30 am to hoist the national flag and inspect the Guard of Honour. At 7:45 am, he will deliver his 12th consecutive Independence Day speech from the fort's ramparts.

This year’s address is expected to honor the bravery of the indian armed forces, particularly during Operation Sindoor, which targeted Pakistan's terror infrastructure following the pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 civilian lives on april 22.
