With the release of Thama, Maddock Films is extending its horror universe following the success of stree, Bhediya, Munjya, and stree 2. With this film, Ayushmann Khurrana, rashmika mandanna, and Nawazuddin siddique are joining this cinematic universe. Today, the movie's teaser was released.
Ayushmann's voiceover opens the teaser, asking, "Will you be able to live without me for 100 years?" Rashmika responds, "One hundred years? I can't even imagine my life without you. After that, we see snippets of Thama's world, and finally, we meet Nawazuddin Siddique, the antagonist of the movie.
Ayushmann plays a historian in Thama, which is billed as a vampire comedy and aims to uncover the origins of vampire folklore in India. The movie concurrently takes place in two timelines: the modern age and the period era. The preview appears intriguing and brings to mind movies like Munjya and Stree. It's unclear if Thama will be added to that exclusive group and carry on Maddock's horror film franchise's winning ways.
