The Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) in bihar has unveiled its manifesto for the 2025 assembly elections, titled 'Tejashwi Pran' (Tejashwi's Vow). Additionally, the alliance pledges to regularize all contractual and outsourced employees, including Jeevika (self-help group) women, and make them permanent government employees with a monthly salary of Rs 30,000.

Under the 'Mai-Bahin Maan Yojana', the alliance promises to provide Rs 2,500 per month to women, starting december 1. This initiative aims to empower women economically and support their participation in the state's development.

The manifesto includes provisions for 200 units of free electricity to every household. Additionally, it proposes providing gas cylinders at Rs 500 to poor families and pledges to resolve issues related to faulty smart meters.

The alliance plans to increase monthly pensions for widows and senior citizens to Rs 1,500, with a yearly increment of Rs 200. Persons with disabilities will receive Rs 3,000 per month. Furthermore, free health insurance coverage of up to Rs 25 lakh per person is promised under the 'Jan Swasthya Suraksha Yojana'.

The manifesto outlines plans to open women's colleges in every sub-division and establish new degree colleges in 136 blocks that currently lack one. It also proposes abolishing examination fees for competitive tests and providing free travel to exam centers.

The alliance pledges to guarantee the minimum support price (MSP) for all crops, revive local markets and mandis, and ensure effective implementation of welfare schemes for Dalits, backward classes, and minorities.

The manifesto commits to resisting any "unconstitutional law" imposed by the Centre and protecting the constitutional rights of all minority communities. It also promises to put the Waqf Amendment Bill on hold and make the management of Waqf properties more welfare-oriented and transparent.
🧾 8. Restoration of Old Pension Scheme (OPS)
The alliance vows to restore the Old Pension Scheme for government employees, ensuring post-retirement financial security and stability.
