The makers of the upcoming romantic comedy Ginny Wedss Sunny 2, starring Avinash Tiwary and Medha Shankr, have officially announced its theatrical release date: the film is set to hit cinemas on 24 April 2026.

The new instalment tells a light‑hearted rom‑com story set against contrasting worlds — a tough wrestler and a free‑spirited girl — promising humour, chaos and heartwarming moments.

Presented by Zee Studios and Soundrya Production, and directed by Prasshant Jha, the film aims to be a fun, family‑friendly entertainer with plenty of situational comedy and emotional beats. Alongside the lead pair, the cast also includes seasoned actors such as Lillete Dubey, Sudhir Pandey, Govind Namdev and Gopi Bhalla, among others.
📅 From OTT to Theatrical Big Screen
Unlike the first Ginny Weds Sunny which premiered on Netflix in 2020, Ginny Wedss Sunny 2 will make its debut directly on the big screen, with no OTT release details announced yet.
