AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY MAY HAVE JUST GIVEN MARVEL ITS BIGGEST SHOCK YET

Marvel Studios may have a monster on its hands — and if the latest test-screening report is anywhere close to accurate, Avengers: Doomsday could be shaping up to challenge the gold standard of the MCU: Avengers: Endgame. The Russo Brothers’ massive multiverse event is reportedly still hovering around 2 hours and 45 minutes, making it shorter than Endgame’s epic 3-hour-1-minute runtime, but comfortably longer than Infinity War and the earlier Avengers movies.

1. THE BIGGEST BOMBSHELL — THE TEST SCORES

According to the report, Marvel has conducted another internal test screening, and the movie is allegedly scoring “much higher” than Avengers: Endgame. That is an enormous claim considering Endgame sits at 94% on Rotten Tomatoes and became one of the most celebrated blockbuster finales in modern cinema.

2. MARVEL IS STILL CUTTING AND POLISHING

The film isn't necessarily locked in stone yet. Reshoots have reportedly only recently wrapped, with Marvel continuing to fine-tune the blockbuster. Even an unfinished post-credits scene was reportedly included in the latest screening.

3. 165 MINUTES OF MULTIVERSE CHAOS

At roughly 165 minutes, Doomsday would become the second-longest Avengers movie, behind Endgame's 181 minutes. That's a serious runtime — and considering the sheer number of heroes, universes, and storylines involved, Marvel clearly isn't trying to squeeze this event into a conventional superhero-movie window.

Can Doomsday actually surpass Endgame?
