Stock Market Closed On red Mark Today: On Wednesday, the 30-share Sensex index of bombay Stock Exchange lost 303 points or 0.56 percent to close at the 53,749 level. On the other hand, the Nifty index of the National Stock Exchange closed at 16,026, down 99 points or 0.62 percent.
On the third trading day of the week on Wednesday, amid mixed global cues, the stock market started with gains and started on the green mark, but after a day's trading, both the indices finally closed with a fall. On the one hand, the 30-share Sensex index of the bombay Stock Exchange closed at 53,749, down 303 points or 0.56 percent.


Along with the Sensex, the Nifty index of the National Stock Exchange closed at 16,026, down 99 points or 0.62 percent. Earlier, the BSE Sensex rose 288 points or 0.53 percent to open at 54,340, while the NSE Nifty gained 89 points or 0.55 percent to open at 16214 levels. At the time of market opening, about 1178 shares had gained and 459 shares had declined, while 81 shares remained unchanged.

Both the indices closed with a fall, in the end, making a sharp start to the last trading day on Tuesday. The Sensex index lost 236 points or 0.43 percent to end at 54,053, while the Nifty index slipped 89 points or 0.55 percent to end at 16,125.
