The situation has spiralled out of hand following stone-throwing during a Hindu New Year gathering in Karauli. Following section 144, a curfew has also been enforced. More than a dozen businesses have been reported for arson thus far. More than 43 persons are believed to have been hurt, with one critically injured.



A stone-pelting incident occurred during a bike rally held on Hindu New Year in Karauli, Rajasthan. As a result, the mood at Hatwara market got tense. The miscreants set fire to more than a dozen establishments and three bikes, according to the report. Due to the deterioration of the situation, a curfew has been enforced in the city.



So far 43 people including policemen have been injured, while the condition of a person named Pushpendra is said to be critical. He has been referred to Jaipur. There are knife marks on the body of the injured who reached the hospital. However, the doctors are still refusing to tell anything.



Collector Dr. Mohan Lal Yadav and SP Shailendra Singh Indolia are present on the spot. Efforts are being made to control the deteriorating situation. police personnel have also been deployed in sensitive areas along with the incident site.


Here, as soon as the atmosphere deteriorated, the bike rally being taken out on the New Year has been canceled. So far, there has been talk of loss of lakhs of rupees due to the arson. In view of the deteriorating situation in Karauli, IG and mla Lakhan Singh have also left for Karauli from Jaipur. chief minister Ashok Gehlot spoke to the DG police and inquired about the incident. He has instructed the police to deal strictly with every miscreant. Gehlot has also appealed to the people to maintain peace and law and order.


The injured are being treated in Kairali's hospital

Four policemen accompanying the rally were also injured in stone pelting at the bike rally. So far more than 43 people have been injured in the violence that started after this. The seriously injured person has been referred to Jaipur. On the other hand, sources say that some of the injured who reached the hospital have marks of stab wounds on their bodies. However, no such information has come out from the administration till now.


A large number of officers and policemen deployed

To control the deteriorating situation in Karauli, 50 police officers and more than 600 policemen have been deployed by the administration. ADG Sanjib Narjhari, IG Bharat Meena, DIG rahul Prakash and SP Mridul Kachwaha, IG Bharatpur Praful Kumar Khmesra and IG Law and Order Bharat meena are present on the spot and trying to control the situation at the earliest. Additional director General Law and Order Hawa Singh Ghumaria is also appealing to the people to maintain peace.


Police fail in front of anti social elements

Deputy leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathore said that the incidents of stone pelting and arson by anti-social elements at the bike rally are the result of the short-sightedness and inaction of the police. He said that the administration was already aware of the rally, so why were anti-social elements allowed to assemble? The police has failed in the face of anti-social elements. Strict action should be taken against those involved in this incident which hurt religious sentiments. He has also appealed to the people to maintain peace.
