In a joint operation, Samastipur district police and STF of bihar have revealed the robbery in bank of Maharashtra. In this sensational case, the police have arrested four vicious criminals including Karmveer Kumar, a criminal with a reward of Rs 2 lakh. Looted gold worth about Rs 1 crore, three country-made pistols, four live cartridges, a Pulsar motorcycle, a hyundai car and Rs 19,200 in cash have been recovered from the arrested criminals.
police have identified the arrested criminals as Karmaveer Kumar alias Dharamveer alias Deshmukh Bhai (Vaishali, Bidupur police station area, Khilwat village), Ravish Kumar (Vaishali, Bidupur, Mathurapur village), Randhir Kumar alias Bablu (Samastipur, Chakamahesi police station, Belsandi village) and goldsmith Bittu Kumar (Vaishali, Bidupur, Naya nagar village). Karmaveer has more than 10 cases of robbery and dacoity registered against him in various police stations of the state. The police had announced a reward of Rs 2 lakh on him. He was also wanted in the reliance Jewelers showroom robbery case located at Mohanpur Road in Samastipur last year.
ASP Sanjay Pandey told in a press conference that secret information was received that Karmaveer was plotting to rob a gold and silver shop in Dalsinghsarai, Samastipur. Based on the information, a joint team of nagar police station and STF took immediate action and arrested Karmaveer from nagar police station area. A pistol and live cartridges were recovered from him. During interrogation, Karmveer admitted his involvement in the bank robbery and gave information about his accomplices. After this, the police arrested Ravish, Randhir and Bittu.
The ASP revealed that the mastermind of this robbery conspiracy was deepak Kumar alias deepak Munshi, who lived in a rented house in Kashipur locality of Samastipur. deepak had done the recce of the bank and called other criminals including Karmveer to Samastipur for this robbery. deepak earlier worked as a munshi in Samastipur court, but in recent years he has been involved in many robbery incidents in Vaishali and Samastipur. The criminals had handed over the looted gold to goldsmith Bittu for melting, from whom the melted gold was also recovered.
