Until July 22, about 87.8 million individuals had been fully vaccinated (got both doses), whereas over 242 million had only received one shot. Vaccine doses were distributed across the states and UTs by 7 p.m. on Thursday. On that particular day, 4,886,103 dosages were given out. The first dosage was given to 2,362,689 people aged 18 to 45, while the second dose was administered to 214,281 people on the same day. Since the commencement of Phase-3 of the vaccination campaign, 132,960,281 people in this age group have gotten their first dose and 5,540,162 have received their second dose across the country.

In the previous 24 hours, the Union health ministry recorded more than new Covid cases and 38,740 recoveries. The total number of positive cases is currently 31,293,062, including 30,468,079 recovered cases and 405,513 active cases. In the 18-45 age range, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh have administered over 10 million vaccination doses.
