The brains behind the smartphone freedom 251 were reportedly arrested again by the police for a 45 lakhs scam. Mohit Goel previously founded Ringing Bells private limited, which sold a mobile for Rs 251 as promotional pricing. The phones, on the other hand, were not distributed to the majority of customers who had reserved or paid them. Goel was arrested for fraud in 2017 as a result of this. In 2018, he was detained by authorities on suspicion of extortion. This time, Goel was detained for allegedly defrauding a dried fruit company.

 Vikas Mittal of Indirapuram lodged an FIR accusing Goel as well as five people, claiming Rs 41 lakh in fraud. He defrauded Vikas Mittal of Rupees 41 lakh & intimidated the petitioner when he questioned him. The accused attempted to drive Mittal over with a vehicle on august 19. Mittal was hurt, and he filed a court case toward Goel the very same day.

Goel was detained when police searched his home in Greater Noida. According to delhi police Commissioner Vijay Pandey, the FIR names five more people. Goel has proposed selling the world's cheapest smartphone for just Rs 251. Cyfuture also charged him of cheating and non-payment of debts.
