3) As Union minister of health in 2008, I was the one who established SC/ST reservation in india, amid considerable opposition to the All india Quota UG and PG medical courses and higher education, which had been denied in india since its inception. On the same day, leaders from 32 disadvantaged communities gathered in chennai to honour me, led by Bhuta Singh, Chairman of the National Commission for the Underprivileged and Tribes, who presented me with diplomas, prizes, and degrees.

4) At delhi Aims, India's premier medical university, I was the one who established the Thorat Committee and successfully rectified the atrocities perpetrated by the advanced classes on the impoverished students.

5) At the National Institute of Siddha Medicine in Tambaram, I mentioned the name of ayodhya Das, who was born in an oppressed society, and a statue of him was created in his honour.
