Central reduced excise duty on Petrol/Diesel!!!

Due to the continuous increase in the price of petrol and diesel in the country, inflation started reaching its record level. In march and April, their prices were increasing almost daily at the rate of 80 paise per liter, but now news of a big relief has come to the fore for the common man as Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman has reduced the petrol-diesel price. Declaring to do so, a reduction in central excise duty has been announced.

Finance minister made a big announcement

In fact, today Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman has suddenly given a big relief to the common man in the prices of petrol and diesel. Reducing the central excise duty on petrol by Rs 8 per liter and on diesel by Rs 6 per liter. This will reduce the price of petrol by Rs 9.5 per liter and diesel by Rs 7 per liter," he said.

Inflation was increasing due to petrol-diesel price

Let us tell you that the prices of petrol and diesel in the country had reached their record level. Due to this, the logistics cost in the country was also getting expensive. In such a situation, the inflation rate of the country was also increasing rapidly. Due to these rising fuel prices, additional pressure was being put on the pocket of the common man in the country, but today with a decision, the Modi government has cut that pressure.

Prices were reduced earlier also

Let us tell you that earlier in november 2021, the prices of petrol and diesel were increasing rapidly due to the increase in crude oil prices in the international market. Even during that time, the Center had given relief to the people on the occasion of diwali by cutting excise duty and after that, the states also cut VAT. In such a situation, now there are possibilities that the central government may once again suggest to the State Governments to reduce VAT to give relief to the common man in petrol-diesel prices.
