Uniformity in school uniform!!!
The state of Mizoram, which is situated in the east-north of the country, has decided that the uniform of all government schools there will be the same. In this context, after the meeting held by State education Minister Lalchandma Ralte, the Board has decided to keep uniforms in all government schools.
In this regard, Deputy Chairman of the State education Board, L.Thangamaviya said that the Human Resource Board will be on this page. The week will put its proposal on this subject.
Right to equality
According to Thangamaviya, the main reason behind taking this decision is to nurture the issue of equality. This is being done so that children from different economic and social backgrounds do not automatically feel isolated from anyone.
Board's vice-chairman and mla Thangamaviya said that the same school uniform is a new thing. It has been implemented in english medium schools in many states as well as Mizoram. He further added that the same uniform would also prove to be financially helpful for the parents. They will not have to get a new uniform for children when they shift anywhere across the state. However, he added that the color of the uniform may change when one moves from the lower classes to the upper classes.
