Free laptops to all students???
Governments of many states including Uttar Pradesh are distributing mobiles, tablets and laptops to the students studying in their state to help them in studies. Meanwhile, these days, a message is becoming fiercely viral on social media in which it is being claimed that the government of india is going to give free laptops to all the students of the country.
According to PIB Fact Check, no scheme is being run by the government of india related to giving free laptops to the students.
A link is also circulating along with the message that is going viral. The viral post of the message is as: Free laptops to students from government of india, Register your number on Govt-Laptop App to get free laptops."
However, PIB Fact Check, the twitter handle of the government of india, which fact-checked the viral messages, has termed this message as fake. PIB Fact Check said that a text message with a website link is going viral with the claim that the indian government is offering free laptops to all students. The link circulating is #Fake. The government is not running any such scheme. So there is no such scheme by the government of india related to free laptops to students.
