UGC has issued guidelines for students!!!


The university Grants Commission (UGC) has issued guidelines for the students seeking admission in Open and Distance Learning Programs and the courses which are prohibited for identification. 

The UGC said in the guidelines, 'Students should ensure the status of higher educational institutions, including the status of recognition and eligibility. students should also investigate which HEIs(Higher Educational Institutions) have been barred from offering distance learning (ODL) or online courses and placed under the 'no admission category'.


UGC has issued guidelines for admission in distance learning courses, it is important for students to know. UGC has released a list of 17 programs which are prohibited to be offered under ODL and online mode.

The UGC said, 'Students should thoroughly check the details of HEI, its documents, application, affidavit on the website of the Commission. If any student finds any error in the information available on the official website of HEI, he/she will have to inform the UGC immediately. The commission has released a list of 17 programs which are prohibited to be offered under ODL and online mode.

These programs are included

These programs include engineering, medical, physical therapy, pharmacy, hotel management, horticulture, nursing, law, agriculture, catering technology, aircraft maintenance, visual arts and sports.
