The district Magistrate of patna has said in his order, "In view of the cold wave conditions, schools in patna will remain closed from january 2 to 7. This rule will be applicable till class 8." january 7 is saturday and january 8 is Sunday. In such a situation, schools up to class 8 will open only on january 9. Many states of North india are in the grip of severe cold and fog.
