Amazon Prime Day 2022 is on its way!!!
E-commerce firm amazon India will host its annual Prime Day sales program on July 23 and 24. It can be accessed by new customers after paying the membership fee which is almost 50% more expensive than last year. The company has increased the prime membership fee from Rs 999 to Rs 1,499 per year around Diwali.
Amazon India, director (Prime and Fulfillment Experience) Akshay Shahi told PTI, "We believe that based on the amount of investment around delivery, shopping, all the different benefits, we think the program is justified at the moment". Monthly Prime membership has increased to Rs 179 from Rs 129 earlier. The subscription gives users access to Amazon's top entertainment platform, Prime Videos and amazon Music, with discounts on delivery charges.
Sahi said there will be more than 30,000 new product launches from over 400 top indian and global brands like Samsung, Xiaomi, Intel, boAt etc and over 120 small and medium businesses will launch 2,000 new products.
SMBs launching new products across categories including electronics, fashion & grooming, jewelery and handmade products include Xech, Cos-IQ, Himalayan Origins, SpaceinCart, Mirakii, Karagiri, Nirvi Handicrafts. amazon will launch special deals from July 7th to July 22nd but there will be more discounts and options for shopping during Prime Day.
