Prime minister Narendra Modi made a big announcement in his address to the nation on Saturday. He said, from january 3, children in the age group of 15-18 will be vaccinated.


He said the government has decided that from january 10, frontline workers and people above 60 years of age will start getting booster doses.


PM Modi said amid the threat of Omicron, this is the time to be alert. PM Modi said, my request is not to panic. Wearing masks, washing hands, we do not have to forget these things.

The country has 18 lakh isolation beds

PM Modi further said the country has 18 lakh isolation, 5 lakh oxygen supported and 1.40 lakh ICU beds. 90 thousand beds are available, especially for children.


At the same time, more than 3 thousand oxygen plants are working in the country. PM said that the experience of fighting with Corona so far shows that following the instructions personally is the biggest weapon of Corona.


Along with this, the vaccine is also a big weapon. With the collective preparation of the country, india has been successful in fighting this war.


More than 61 per cent of the population has received both doses of the vaccine. About 90 per cent of adults have been administered a single dose. india has launched the world's largest vaccination campaign.

The PM said states like Goa, Uttarakhand, Himachal have achieved the target of single-dose vaccination. The mind is satisfied with this news. India's fight against Corona has been based on the scientific method. 


Nasal and the world's first dna vaccine will start soon in the country. The vaccination campaign is going on in the country for the last 11 months. PM Modi said, Corona is not gone yet, so vigilance is necessary.
