Booster dose to avoid the virus?...
The process of applying a booster dose made to avoid Covid-19 has started. Meanwhile, a study using human blood and serum samples has shown that the booster dose produces antibodies to avoid the Omicron variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Studies published in the New england Journal of Medicine (NEJM) and Cell Host and Microbe journal have shown that the antibodies required for neutralizing BA2, Omicron, and DeltaCron, are found with booster doses. The researchers said that antibodies produced from just two doses of mRNA vaccines are sufficient to neutralize BA.3. Researcher Rua Liu said that "people are asking again about Deltacron and BA.3 and now we have an answer. And that's good news. A booster shot can save BA.2 and Deltacron."
Antibodies are obtained after applying a booster dose
In the study, published in NEJM, researchers from 10 professionals at Ohio State's Wexner Medical Center tested antibody levels in the serum. After two doses of the vaccine, antibody levels were 3.3 times and 44.7 times lower, respectively, than those of BA.3 and DeltaCron, which can neutralize the original SARS-CoV-2 virus, they said. Researchers believe that of all the health care professionals and infected patients studied, those who received the three vaccine doses had the broadest and highest antibodies overall.
