The countrywide clinical fee (NMC) has advocated setting up a 3-tier criticism-redressal mechanism, at the levels of the medical university, college and the country scientific training department, to deal with worries of scientific students throughout the country.
In an advisory, the commission stated it's been receiving complaints from medical students, their parents and other stakeholders regarding instructional and clinical-schooling problems.
It mentioned that the grievances are related to the charging of excessive expenses, postpone or non-price of stipends, ragging or harassment, internship-associated challenges, college or college workforce-associated problems, disciplinary topics, fitness and safety concerns, instructional concerns like curriculum, attendance, teaching techniques, examinations, exams etc.
"If a complaint requires intervention on the NMC degree, the same can be escalated to NMC for essential resolution," the advisory stated.
The NMC known as for installing place a dependent mechanism at three levels, in line with which complaints must first be made to the medical university or institute. Then the complainant can approach the university and subsequently, the Directorate of clinical education or the health and medical training branch of the state.
Faculties and universities were requested to create and show a web-portal address and provide a hyperlink where aggrieved students can register their grievances.
"All-out efforts are to be made by the stakeholders for effective and speedy resolutions of the grievances of the scholars/stakeholders, with an endeavour that every one the grievances are attended to at the tiers from in which the grievances emanate," the NMC said.
It introduced that a web portal has been activated on the NMC for the lodging of unresolved grievances by using scientific college students and different stakeholders.
