He has removed the iron barriers in front of the Chief Minister's residence. Thus, even before the swearing-in ceremony was over, Pragati Bhavan, the chief minister's residence in Hyderabad, was abuzz. Bulldozers, tractors and construction workers were seen uprooting steel bars outside the residence. revanth reddy had said during his election campaign that he would remove the barricades if the congress came to power.



Earlier, the swearing-in ceremony was held at Hyderabad's LB Stadium. In it, revanth reddy was sworn in as the chief minister of Telangana. He has been sworn in as the second chief minister of telangana which was formed in 2014. 11 ministers also took oath including Mallu bhatti vikramarka who was sworn in as Deputy Chief Minister. congress registered a landslide victory in the assembly elections held last month. The ruling congress party has a tough task ahead of it to fulfill its six major promises made before the elections.
