Trichy Metropolitan Rifle Club has a total of 215 permanent members and students. The said rifle club has a shooting range at 50 meters distance, a shooting range at 25 meters distance, 3 shooting ranges at 10 meters distance, and a gymnasium. In this 10 m, 25m, and 50m shooting ranges, pistol, and rifle shooting competitions are divided into kids, youth and seniors, sub-youth (up to 16 years), youth (up to 19), junior (up to 21), senior (21 to 45 years), master (45 to 60 years) and Senior master (above 60 years) competitions are conducted separately.
The competition will be held till the 28th for the pistol shooting competitors and the winners will be awarded medals. There will be a competition for rifle shooters from the 29th to the 31st. Trichy police Commissioner karthikeyan said that the winners will be able to participate in the South india level shooting competition.Accordingly, it has been reported that 51-year-old actor ajith kumar will participate in the 10, 25, and 50-meter categories of the master from 45 to 60 years of age.
