Respected director Rajamouli's interview with The Newyorker became extremely controversial as he made it plain that he has no agenda and only makes films with passion for what he thinks will benefit his cinema. After several media outlets said rajamouli was pushing the BJP's agenda through his films, the actors' dress, and other factors, the director has clarified the situation once and for all.


Until kangana ranaut intervened to defend rajamouli, it seemed as though these accusations had been completely laid to rest by his response. Many believe that kangana Ranaut's backing of rajamouli does not in any way benefit him, although her justification tends to cloud the director's unequivocal denial of any political motive.

Kangana posted a string of tweets endorsing Rajamouli. Although she praises him for elevating indian cinema internationally, her tweets and remarks nonetheless subtly attribute the claimed "agenda" to him due to her strong bjp loyalty.
