Jennifer Mistry confirms leaving 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah'

When ETimes contacted Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal with this information, she initially refused to comment but after some time the actress revealed, “Yes, I have left the show. I indeed shot my last episode of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah on 7th march this year. I had to leave the set because of the humiliation I faced at the hands of Mr. Sohail Ramani and another executive producer Jatin Bajaj."

What is the whole case of Jennifer Mistry?

When asked about her last day on the sets of 'Taarak Mehta', Jennifer said, "March 7 was my wedding anniversary and holi when this incident happened. I asked him four times to take me off from work. They were not letting me go. Sohail tried to stop my car and didn't let me out of the set. I also told him that I have worked with this show for 15 years and can't force me like this Sohail then threatened me. I have filed a sexual harassment complaint against Asit Kumar Modi, Sohail Ramani, and Jatin Bajaj."

He further added, “I had already informed you that I want half a day because my daughter looks forward to that day. She looks forward to Holi. Give me a break, I will come back. I kept requesting them but they didn't listen. They adjusted for all the male actors. people in this show are very malevolent-minded people, that's when I replied, Sohail misbehaved with me and asked to get out about four times, then Jatin tried to stop my car. Jennifer Mistry was fired from the show when she was pregnant

Jennifer further added, “I was ready to work for 9 months of my pregnancy, but they asked me to leave. There have been many such cases when Sohail deducted my half day's salary even after working for 15 years. I informed them well in advance half a day but they deliberately called me at my logout time and when I protested, they deducted my half-day money. When we complained to Asit Modi, he refused to intervene. I have been subjected to constant mental and sexual harassment."

Jennifer, who filed the sexual harassment case, claimed, “Asit Modi has had sex with me many times before. They tried to forcefully stop me on the set and were closing the gates and not letting me out. I sent a complaint mail to the authorities a month ago, but there was no response. Jennifer said, "I have given 15 years to the show and if I am treated like this on the sets, just imagine what they would be doing to the junior and new cast."
