The movie which has karthi as a prisoner who has to take up a lorry driving and transporting task to help cop narain also stars Vatsan, Maryan George, kishore Rajkumar, Dheena, Harish Uthaman, arjun Das, Ramana, and many others and has music by sam CS and has received critical acclaim.
On the other end, there are several rumors that the movie is a ripoff of the hollywood hit Assault on precinct 13 directed by john Carpenter, though the claim seems to be baseless as only the one-liner remains the same, and the screenplay is different. lokesh had credited Die Hard, Virumandi, Goodfellas and Departed as his inspirations.
