Now the rumors are making rounds that Chiyaan vikram might play the lead role in the revived version of Marudhanayagam and Raajkamal Films will produce it, as they recently bankrolled vikram starrer Kadaram Kondaan. 

Legendary actor, director, and producer, the multi-talented Padmashree Ulaga Nayagan kamal haasan had launched the historical movie Marudhanayagam way back in 1997, in the presence of queen Elizabeth and the then chief minister  M karunanidhi in a grand manner.
