Puri Jagannadh's son, Akash's debut film as hero, Andhra Pori is all set for a release day after tomorrow. However couple of days before the release, a petition was filed against the movie in Hyderabad High court objecting to the film.The complainant says the title hurts the sentiment of Andhra people and show the state girls in poor light.
Forum for Settlers of AP living in Telangana filed this complaint in the high court. It is quite common that petitions are filed in courts against the movie titles and some objectionable scenes but since this issue is about the conflict between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana whose relations are very weak. It is interesting to see what the court opines in this issue.
Andhra Pori is the remake of Marathi film - Time Pass which is a blockbuster there. Akash had pinned high hopes on the film to give him a right start to his career. The film is the next venture of director Raj Madiraju after the critically acclaimed film 'Rushi'. Chairman of Prasad Studios, Ramesh Prasad, who produced many beautiful films on Prasad Productions banner, is producing Andhra Pori. Dr.Josyabhatla, who had a PhD in music, provided music.
