According to Nielsen's most recent ratings release, Prime Video's new series Reacher is the internet platform's best performer, even beating out the hit Wheel of Time series. The protagonist of Jack Reacher is based on a series of Lee Child novels in which the titular former military major travels the country assisting those in need. tom Cruise depicted him in the 2012 movie Jack Reacher, which was his first excursion into live-action adaptations. In 2016, a sequel entitled Jack Reacher: Never Go Back was released.

Despite the fact that Cruisse's debut film was favourably received, it was panned by aficionados of the source novels. The fact that Jack Reeacher is an enormously tall, imposing guy on the page is one of the defining characteristics of the character, and many admirers were upset when hollywood selected a 5-foot 8-inch tall actor to put him to life. When amazon began its own adaptation of the Child novels, it starred 6-foot-3-inch Alan Ritchsson, and the show was so acclaimed that amazon extended Reacher for a second season just weeks after the first season premiered.

According to THR, Reacher's streaming scores are even higher than the central protagonist himself, according to the latest Nielsen Report. Their most recent report covers the viewership figures from january 31, 2021, to february 6, 2021. Because Reacher opened on february 4, just the first three days of its run on the platform have been documented. Despite the shortened viewing window, the show was streamed for 1.85 billion minutes over the course of its eight episodes.
