Liger's producers revealed on friday that the film has made Rs 33.12 crore worldwide on day one in all languages, despite receiving mixed reviews on its opening day. According to Bollymoviereviewz.com, Liger made a total of Rs 28.1 crore worldwide, including Rs 3.63 crore from America. Of this, Rs 19 crore came from all of India. Again, this is more than the first-day earnings of Samrat Prithviraj, Shamshera, Raksha Bandhan, and Laal Singh Chaddha, but it is evident from all available data that Liger has performed well solely in the two Telugu-speaking states.

It is still behind rrr, kgf 2, Mahesh Babu's Sarkaru Vaari Paata, Radhe Shyam, Acharya, and f3 as the seventh-highest telugu film (single-language or dubbed) opening of the year. It is clear that the strategy of casting a South indian celebrity in a bollywood film in the hopes that it will halt the current box office slump hasn't been successful. The Liger Charmme Kaur producer recently discussed the box office failure of hindi movies in an interview.

In her opening remarks, Charmee also discussed the several delays in Liger's release "Liger's initial schedule began in january 2020, karan johar was introduced to us in 2019, and the film was released in 2022. We postponed going to the movies for three years because we were quite certain that Liger would be released theatrically regardless of the first and second lockdowns, the third wave, or the theatres opening to 50% occupancy. It was our duty to give other significant motion pictures, including rrr and Pushpa: The Rise, a head start. Then, as the summer ended and the rain started, we had to let go on august 25. Despite persistent obstacles, we never gave up."
