Recently, samantha had been acting in movies with strong female characters, and now she is back with Yashodha. Here is the first report from the US Premiere shows, which took place today, the day the movie was released in theatres. Yashodha starts out slowly, and the suspense doesn't really start to build until the second part of the first half.

The first half is simply fine thanks to some uninteresting narration during the introduction. The pre-interval shows and the break do a good job of setting the stage for a stronger second half. The intermission block is also excellent. Even though the mystery behind the storyline has not yet been solved, Samantha's unrelated parallel story is compelling.

With some intriguing surprises and other obvious twists, the second half is speedier and more engrossing. samantha was excellent as the lead character in Yashodha, and the idea is novel. unni mukundan and varalakshmi sarathkumar play antagonistic characters. As a cold-blooded villain, Varalakshmi did admirably. While the emotional episodes are stereotypical, the thrill factor largely worked. A few regular action blocks lead to the climax, which is clear. Yashodha is an adequate thriller overall, despite a few clichéd situations.
