We haven't seen a true horror film in telugu cinema in ages. Recently, the only horror we've seen is horror comedies. Masooda is the first authentic horror film to hit theatres. The trailer for this sai kiran film generated positive buzz. See if the film lives up to your expectations.

Neelam (Sangitha) is a Muslim single mother who lives with her daughter Nazia (Bandhavi Sridhar). Gopi (Thiruveer) is their next-door neighbour. He works in information technology. Neelam notices an unusual change in Nazia's behaviour all of a sudden. Nazia is soon discovered to be possessed. Neelam then seeks Gopi's assistance. They learn some startling details about the spirit that possessed Nazia as a group.

Masooda has an intriguing premise that immediately captures the audience by revealing the major conflict. This is a genuine attempt at the classic horror genre. However, there is tremendous violence and gore, which may make some viewers uncomfortable. Thiruveer was a fantastic fit for Gopi. He delivered an outstanding performance in his role. Thiruveer's romantic interest was performed by Kavya. Despite her good appearance, she was not the proper match for this position. Sangitha gave a sincere performance as Neelam. She delivered emotional scenes convincingly. Bandhavi sridhar puts on a good performance.

Mason's main asset is his cinematography. With his camera work, nagesh Banell of pelli choopulu renown lends soul to the film. The frames and shot are visually appealing and provide a creepy atmosphere. Prashanth R Vihari's music is satisfactory. With the backdrop score, he got brownie points. The production values are outstanding. The editing is appropriate.

Masooda's central narrative is distinct and intriguing. The director begins the picture in an exciting manner, but the subsequent proceedings are quite slow. In addition, the film becomes monotonous after a while. There aren't nearly enough of the jump scares that audiences expect from horror flicks. There are no surprises. If the film had more scares and a better cut, it would have been a standout in this category.
