Although Gal Gadot is the current favorite to take on the iconic role of Wonder Woman, Ana de Armas is a popular option. Superman, Batman, and other DCEU characters will get new starts in the upcoming movie The Flash, while other characters, like Amanda Waller, will mostly maintain their DCEU identities. Although Gal Gadot's version of Wonder Woman's future is currently uncertain, Ana de Armas is correct in saying that Gadot should continue playing the role in the new DC Universe.
When asked if she would take over the Wonder Woman role in her Wired Autocomplete interview with Ghosted co-star chris Evans, Ana de Armas responded, "Well, I feel that Gal Gadot is doing a terrific job. Therefore, I believe she should keep acting that way.

Gal Gadot has been eager to continue playing Wonder Woman unlike her Justice League co-stars Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill, who both quit (or were let go) of their superhero roles. Gal Gadot's iconic portrayal of the superheroine in the previous iteration of the DC Extended Universe makes Ana de Armas, like many viewers, correct in saying that Gadot should continue in the part, even if her fellow heroes are recast.

Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman had a significant impact on pop culture, turning the character into an A-list film franchise for DC and giving one of their most well-known characters a representation that was true to the comics. Gal Gadot is still eager to continue playing the lead role, and her interpretation of the character is still a big symbol, so there is no need to recast Wonder Woman herself even though Wonder Woman 3 was scrapped. After The Flash, Superman and Batman were probably always going to be replaced, and if DCEU characters like Amanda Waller and Aquaman can live alongside their new iterations, Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman should be able to as well.
