Gadar 2: Producer-director Anil Sharma's film 'Gadar 2' is creating a lot of mutiny in theaters these days. The songs of this film 'Ud Ja Kale Kava' and 'Main Nikla Gaddi Leke' are making the audience dance in the theatres. In 'Gadar- Ek prem Katha', these songs were composed by music composer Uttam Singh and in 'Gadar 2' these songs have been recreated and presented by music composer Mithun. When a media asked Uttam Singh why he was not associated with 'Gadar 2', he told that no one approached him for this film!I didn't even get a call for Gadar 2.
composer Uttam Singh said, I was never called for 'Gadar 2' and I am not in the habit of calling up front for work. Even today my songs are hits by the grace of God.
The songs of 'Waris', 'Painter Babu' are hits even today. It's been 27 years since 'Dil To Pagal Hai', but people say that even today all the songs are fresh. It seems like it was recorded just yesterday. In my career of 60 years, till date I have not called anyone to give me work. I don't even know how to ask for work, the one above has not taught me.

Composer Uttam Singh further said, 'Today they didn't take me in 'Gadar 2' so what difference did it make to me? Right now the whole world is taking my name without doing any work. I have heard that I have used all the background music in the film. My background music, two of my songs were used in the film. At least as a matter of courtesy, we would have asked, sat and talked about whether our songs are being used.
See, it is a matter of luck that only two songs of the film 'Gadar 2' are playing. Even today people send me messages asking what songs are playing? Someone said a very good thing that you did nothing, but you did everything.
