Manchu vishnu is set to bring the tale of bhakta kannappa to the big screen in his film titled "Kannappa," where he plays the titular role. The movie, based on the story from Mahakavi Dhurjati's Srikalahasteeshwara Shatakam, has already created a buzz with the inclusion of stellar actors like Mohanlal, Mohan Babu, and Prabhas.

Recently, the film unit successfully completed an extensive shooting schedule in New Zealand. manchu vishnu shared his dedication to the project on social media, mentioning the hard work and commitment of the entire team, even amid injuries during the shoot.


Earlier reports suggested that prabhas would portray the role of Lord shiva in the film, with Nayanthara playing Parvati. However, due to scheduling conflicts, Nayanthara had to step down from the project. The latest buzz reveals that bollywood actress kangana ranaut might step into the role of Parvati, marking her debut in telugu cinema.


Initially, Nupur Sanon was considered for the female lead, but she left the project for undisclosed reasons. kangana Ranaut's potential involvement in "Kannappa" has generated excitement among fans, and an official announcement from the film unit is expected soon.
