randeep hooda will be seen playing the role of freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar in his upcoming film 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar'. Today is the death anniversary of Veer Savarkar and on this occasion Randeep has paid tribute to him. Along with this, the actor has talked about his efforts to experience Savarkar's life closely for his biopic. While sharing some photos on his instagram account, randeep hooda paid tribute to Veer Savarkar. During this, Randeep told in the post that he had imprisoned himself in a room for the biopic of Veer Savarkar. He wrote in the post- 'Today is the death anniversary of one of the greatest sons of Mother India. Leader, fearless freedom fighter, writer, philosopher and visionary, Savantrya Veer Savarkar.

'I locked myself inside this closet...'

randeep hooda further wrote - 'A man whose fierce intelligence and fierce courage scared the british so much that they locked him in this 7 by 11 feet prison of Kalapani for two lifetimes (50 years). During the recce of his biopic, I tried to lock myself inside this closet so that I could feel what he might have gone through. I couldn't stay confined even for 20 minutes where he was kept in solitary confinement for 11 years.

Writing about Veer Savarkar, randeep hooda further says, 'I imagined the patience of Veer Savarkar, who endured the torture and inhuman conditions of imprisonment and yet brought about armed revolution and succeeded in inspiring. His strength and contribution cannot be compared, that is why anti-India forces continue to defame him for decades, salute.
