Tollywood superstar mahesh babu and master storyteller trivikram teamed up for the release of "Guntur Karam" on january 12, amidst high expectations as a sankranti treat. Despite being a highly anticipated collaboration, the film received mixed reviews from the outset, disappointing some fans and movie enthusiasts. However, mahesh babu managed to set a remarkable record in terms of collections, becoming the first and only hero to achieve a 100 crore share with five regional films.

While the movie garnered moderate collections during the sankranti holidays, it was deemed above average at the box office. Within four weeks of its theatrical release, "Guntur Karam" made its way to OTT platforms, where it also made significant records and remained on the top lists for several days. The hindi version received an excellent response, particularly praising Mahesh Babu's portrayal of a mass character and Thaman's engaging background score.

Despite the positive aspects, there were high expectations for the film to surpass the three million mark in America, which unfortunately did not materialize, leading to speculation that the movie's buyers may have incurred losses. Recently, Nagavanshi, the producer of "Guntur Karam," addressed these concerns, stating that while the media may have been disappointed with the film, the makers were not.

Nagavanshi's comments have sparked discussions on social media, with many interpreting them to gauge whether he is content with the movie's outcome or if he is refuting certain news reports. Regardless, he firmly asserts that there were no significant flaws in the film. "Guntur Karam" featured the young beauty Srilila opposite mahesh babu, with ramya krishna essaying the role of the hero's mother. The film's central storyline revolves around the hero's accidental separation from his mother at the age of ten. Reports suggest that the movie will soon be aired on television.
