At the box office, Tillu Square, the follow-up to the hugely popular comic escapade dj Tillu, is off to a very positive start. The movie made the most of its first day's momentum and enjoyed a fairly successful opening weekend, which was sealed with a great Sunday. box office reports state that, on opening day itself, Tillu Square has, in the most of cases, if not all of them, attained break-even.

The IPL craze didn't stop Tillu Square from drawing sizable audiences to theatres over the weekend. Tillu could be able to extract two times the gains from purchasers in most places if the trend keeps up over the course of the next weekend. At the US box office, the movie is also having a wild run. The movie has made somewhere about $1.8 million so far, and consumers' heroes are starting to make a tonne of money from it. Tillu is now exhibiting little to no impact from the IPL wave and election frenzy.

However, Family Star, starring Vijay Deverakonda, which opens this weekend, presents a threat to the movie. It remains to be seen how Tillu does in the second weekend, even though there will undoubtedly be changes to the screen count.
